Consult on a complex technical projects / tasks and manage the continual immersion of the overall Docker framework in order to fulfill customer requirements. Perform tasks with various utility cloud frameworks including Docker, OpenStack, and Open Shift.
Required Skills:
Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration (experience SELinux and containers is a big plus)
Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent
Experience with integrating systems (particularly applications running on Apache Web Server) with PKI and SSL
Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (e.g., OpenStack, AWS, OpenShift)
Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL (NoSQL/MongDB experience is a plus)
A working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby; Go is a plus)
Desired additional skills:
Evaluate available Docker containers and determine which containers are to be in the registry.
Draft and deliver report outlining the availability and suitability of containers as directed by the government.
Evaluate internal deployments to determine and recommend paths to continue to integrate into a more enterprise offering.
Document and deliver reports to the government as requested.
Develop, design, and document the systems architecture and the service model prior to initial operating capability.
Deploy Docker framework to various locations as requested by the government.
Evaluate new packages and new updates as they become available, and issue reports on sustainability within the environment.
Define roadmap for future capabilities of Docker.
Review customer feedback on usability, bugs, and new feature requests and evaluate feasibility impact and level of effort to incorporate requested changes.
Monitor usage patterns and capacity to recommend changes.
Design, develop, and implement systems architectures comprehensive of Docker, OpenShift, and OpenStack frameworks within various environments.
